Overview

The Black Point Project is located approximately eight miles to the northeast of Eureka, Nevada within the world-renowned Battle Mountain-Eureka gold trend. The property is accessible year round by paved county road and one mile of good quality gravel road.

The property is in close proximity to the past producing Ruby Hill Gold Mine, which yielded 135,000 ounces of gold annually between 1997 and 2002.

Urastar Gold Corp has entered into a definitive agreement which allows it  to earn a 100% interest in the Black Point Project. The company is exploring for significant amounts of gold in the mineralizing system at greater depths than have been explored by previous owners. Urastar Gold is currently conducting a Stage 1 exploration program aimed at proving forecasts of the primary target.

Previous Work

black-point-map

Iron Horse Resources conducted exploration work on the Black Point Project during the 1980s'. Work consisted of surface mapping, sampling and diamond drilling a few short holes along the outer edge of the property's mineralizing system. The company intersected only erratic significant gold values as the drill holes were located near the top or above the mineralizing system.

However, Iron Horse's exploration program only concentrated on the upper 250 feet of the mineralizing system. Based on current modeling and geological interpretation  Urastar maintains that the potential exists for substantial gold values at greater depths in the mineralization system - greater values than were indicated during previous exploration.

Mosquito Consolidated staked the Black Point property in Spring 2005 and began a stage 1 exploration program. Geological mapping, surface sampling and aerial photography for the production of contour maps of Black Point Project and surrounding area was completed.

The primary goal of Stage 1 exploration is to determine whether depths of up to 500 meters in the property's mineralizing system contain significant gold values. The final phase of the program is diamond drilling 6,000 feet (3 or 4 holes) to identify the main feeders and gold zones beneath the existing mineralized system. Completion of this final phase will be undertaken shortly, and results will determine Stage 2 exploration and development activity.

Recent / Current Work

Mosquito Consolidated staked the Black Point property in Spring 2005 and is currently conducting a Stage 1 exploration program. Geological mapping, surface sampling and aerial photography for the production of contour maps of Black Point Project and surrounding area have already been completed.

Development Forecast

Urastar Gold is targeting a significant gold deposit beneath the exposed surface. Drill holes will target an area of 250 to 500 meters below the surface in the center of the property's mineralized system.

The company is exploring for a  primary target that is comparable to Barrick Gold's Meikle Mine deposit (8 million tons of 23 grams of gold per ton) located 420 meters beneath a low-grade arsenic anomaly, with similar geology to the Black Point Project. A successful drill program on the Black Point Project will result in steady and meaningful gold values, and evolve to Stage 2 exploration to identify the nature and extent of drill program results.
